| 31.07.2010 GROUP C Italy defense managed to limit Lithuania's top scorer Santa Okockyte to eight points while forcing her to nine turnovers in an easy 72-54 victory against the Baltic side on Day 3 of the U18 European Championship Women 2010 in Slovakia.
Both teams were certain of progress to the Qualifying Round of the tournament before tip-off but the winners secured a better record and an advantage coming into the next phase of the event.
Lithuania had a good start, but Italy used 11-0 run to help them win the first quarter by 13-19.
The Baltic team had a very poor 11.1 percentate from outside shooting in the first half when Italy extended the gap to double digits, 38-24 behind nine points by Marta Masoni .
She was Italy's top scorer on the day with 13 points.
