29 July 2010
Italy opened their U18 European Championship Women 2010 campaign in Spisska Nova ves, Slovakia with a 65-53 win over an error-prone Latvia team. For the losing team this will definitely be a game to forget judging by their 31 turnovers.

Italy kept pushing hard on the defense in the second half and forced Latvia to turn the ball over on numerous occassions.
