Armani Jeans Milano have staged a transfer coup to snatch Giacomo Galanda from Lega A rivals Montepaschi Siena.
The 30-year-old from Udine has signed a one-year contract with Milano who finished runners-up to Climamio Bologna in this year's Lega A play-offs.
"I am extremely pleased to have signed for Armani Jeans Milano, it's just what I wanted," Galanda told the www.olimpiamilano.com website.
"When it was clear that the relationship with Siena was over I saw Milan as the ideal place to spend the next season."
He continued: "There is a lot of enthusiasm in the city and there is the big support a team like Armani Jeans deserves and there is a big project - I am glad to be part of it."
Galanda, known as Jack, claims to be a boyhood Milano fan, saying: "When I was a child I supported Olimpia (Armani Jeans) but when I became a professional I had to lose that passion.
"Now I feel a certain emotion and I must admit it's like being a child again."
