At the age of 20, Alessandro Gentile is expected to be Italy's main newcomer, and one of Europe's undisputed rising stars. The youngest son of Nando Gentile (former European champion with Panathinaikos) is already a starter in the Euroleague with Emporio Armani Milano and has also won a medal with Italy, starring at the 2011 U20 European Championship in Bilbao, Spain, where he was included into the All Tournament Team. He can score in several ways, either by attacking the paint thanks to his physical strength, or his reliable perimeter shot. His technical skills are supported by a leader's personality. He is coming off a tough season, because of Milano's negative results and because of some injury concerns, but he was definitely Emporio Armani's go-to player during domestic play-offs.
