Daniel Hackett was universally acknowledged as the most improved player in the Italian league last season as he poured in over 14 points per game for Scavolini Pesaro and showcased his full range of skills. Essentially a combo guard, he knows how to score in a variety of ways and particularly driving to the basket aggressively. He also poses a consistent threat from downtown. One big bonus with Hackett is that he is just as useful at the other end of the floor and ever since his college days with USC he has stood out as good defender. He could potentially provide something of an ‘X Factor' for Italy since he can be a streaky scorer and could just come up with some very useful cameo performances behind the big guns on the team. |
