Slovenia Grab Bronze Medal

Emir Preldzic scored 29 points as Slovenia secured the bronze medal at the OSTCHEM U20 European Championship Men with an 83-75 victory over Italy.

Preldzic scored five points in a crucial 9-0 fourth quarter run as Slovenia pulled ahead 72-63 with 3:28 remaining in the game.

Serbia & Montenegro Move To U20 European Final

Nenad Mijatovic made four free throws in the final 19 seconds as Serbia & Montenegro beat Italy 89-83 in double overtime to reach the final of the Ostchem U20 European Championship Men.

Mijatovic and Nikola Pekovic combined for 44 points for Miroslav Nikolic's team, who will play in Sunday's final against either Slovenia or hosts Turkey, who were playing the other semi-final later Saturday.

Vitali Steers Italy To Victory

A 14-0 run in the fourth quarter helped Italy overcome Croatia 86-74 and book their place in the semi-finals of the OSTCHEM U20 European Championships.

Luca Vitali made eight free throws in the final 56 seconds to seal the victory, which gives Italy a 2-1 record in the Group F quarter-final round.

Vitali's Late Heroics Get Italy Past Greece

Luca Vitali hit a three-pointer and three free throws in the final 1:26 to lead Italy past Greece, 76-60, in their quarter-final round clash at the U-20 European Championships.

Trailing 68-67, Vitali knocked down a three-pointer to give Italy the lead for good. The swingman also hit three free throws in the final 13 seconds to seal the victory.
