Should ever such a trend take hold in FIBA Europe competitions (unlikely, but still...) we could get a pretty good side together here at the UMCOR U18 European Championships in Madrid. |

Estonia claimed an excellent 72-60 win against Italy in Group A to proceed to the qualifying round.
After two defeats in their first two games this was a must-win tie for both teams to reach the next round and avoid finishing bottom of the group. |

More HeadlinesLatvia got Group A underway today with hard fought win against Italy in a tight and entertaining encounter, with both sides attacking hard and throwing up plenty of shots.
Latvian point guard Janis Kaufmanis and power forward Roberts Mednis led their side to the win with 15 and 18 points respectively.
