One of the best players of his generation, Yotam Halperin in a player who will need to be in top form if Israel are to be successful in Lithuania. Halperin is the type of player who can score 25-30 points but also shares the ball to get his team-mates involved.. Arguably the leader of one of the best generations of Israeli basketball, he was the go-to-guy in every youth national team he played for, as he helped Israel to the silver medal at the U20 European Championships in 2004 despite playing the whole final round on one foot due to an ankle injury. A success at club level with Maccabi, Olimpija Ljubljana and Olympiacos, Halperin has averaged double figures in each of the last two international summers. He will play in his homeland next season after signing a deal to go back to Maccabi.
