New Israel head coach Adan Inbar is looking to return Israel to a EuroBasket Women Final Round after missing out in 2013

Former EuroCup Women title-winning coach Adan Inbar has been appointed as the new play-caller of the Israeli national team.

Inbar will succeed Eli Rabi after the Women's Committee of the Israeli Basketball Association handed him the mandate of trying to get his nation back to the top table of the women's game by clinching a ticket for EuroBasket Women 2015.

Now in his fourth season with Elitzur Ramla, Inbar was responsible for masterminding the greatest moment in the history of Israeli women's club basketball, when he guided Ramla to the top of the EuroCup Women podium in 2011.

Inbar does also have some limited experience within the national team structure having held the reins at the U20 European Championship Women Division B during 2010 in Kavadarci, F.Y.R. of Macedonia.

Having previously held one of the most consistent qualification records of any nation for EuroBasket Women, Israel missed out on a spot in France last time out.

They will try to make their way back to Final Round in Hungary and Romania next year, via the EuroBasket Women 2015 Second Qualification Round this summer.

Israel have been drawn in Group F alongside Bulgaria and Croatia.
