Liron Cohen
Career: Maccabi Ra'anana (Israel-D1, 2000-01), Elitzur Ralma (Israel-D1, 2001-2004), Ptolemaida (Greece-A1, 2004-05), Anda Ramat Hasharon (Israel-D1, 2005-07), Baloncento San Jose Leon (Spain-LFB, 2007-08), Maxima Broker Kosice (Slovakia-Extraliga, 2008-09), Besiktas Istanbul (Turkey-TBBL, 2009), Wisla Can-Pack (Poland-PLKK, 2009-10), Famila-Beretta Schio (Italy-A1, 2010-11)

A member of the National Team for nearly a decade, Liron Cohen just seems to get better with age and her performances last summer during qualifying were absolutely sensational. Her shooting either side of the arc was impressive and the best in the round, as were her 6.7 assists per game. While she was always one of the main threats offensively, her capacity to lead the team seems to be continually increasing and she will be one of the main scoring threats yet again for the team. That is hardly surprising when you consider she is a terrific free-throw shooter as well. A playmaker with vast experience, Cohen has not only performed well in a National Team vest but has also racked up the accolades at club level too with an impressive track record, including being named MVP in the Spanish Copa and playing at a EuroLeague Women Final Four amongst other things. She will be difficult to stop for opponents since she has so many different ways to find a basket when it is needed. She is creative and posseses the ability to switch from pulling the strings with the ball in her hands to ripping off screens and dropping bombs from outside or mid-range. This year's MVP of the Coppa Italia will be the person to make things happen once again for Israel, and will no doubt continue to revel in that responsibility.
