Ornit Shwartz scored 18 points as Israel defeated club side Elitzur Ramle 69-59 in a warm-up game for the European Championships.
The 24-year-old Shwartz was Israel’s leading scoring during qualifying so coach Moshe Waynkratz will be relieved to see his star player hitting top form.
Liad Suez contributed 10 and 17-year-old Meirav Dori added nine to press her claims for a spot on the final roster which is expected to be announced on Sunday.
Waynkratz also welcomed playing returns for Sharon Zeevi and Shiri Sharon, two players sidelined with ankle injuries in recent days.
The coach still has to cut two players from the 14 currently in his group.
Israel face defending champions France in Pyrgos on the opening day of the championships.
