Afik Nissim brings a scoring touch to the Israel team, and is able to play at both point and shooting guard. An excellent shooter, he is a persistent danger from behind the three-point line, and is a good ball handler as well. He has a good work ethic and is an excellent passer but sometimes has the tendency to try and do a little too much. He helped Israel to tenth spot when he stepped out a decade ago at EuroBasket 2001, and joint ninth four years later having missed the 2003 tournament. Now he will look to return to the national team after six years away. He has a wealth of international experience at club level, including helping Strasbourg to the French League title.
