Israel Upset Serbia

Israel bounced back from a tough defeat against Italy to upset Serbia 65-61 at the U18 European Championship Men in Pyrgos.

Yotam Shiran led the way for Israel with 14 points while Ben Reis had 12 and Tamir Ariely scored 10 as Dan Franko's team improved to 2-3 in the Qualifying Round Group E.

Italy Pound Israel

Nicolò Melli paced six players in double figures as Italy crushed Israel 93-57 at the U18 European Championship Men.

Melli poured in 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds while Andrea De Nicolao collected 11 points, six rebounds and six assists in helping the Italians improve to 1-3 in the Qualifying Round Group E.

Israel Surprise Lithuania

Tamir Ariely and Ben Martin Reis combined for 38 points in leading Israel to a shocking 72-61 win over Lithuania at the U18 European Championship Men.

Ariely had 20 points in hitting a number of big shots and Reis added 13 rebounds to his 18 points as Israel improved to 1-2 in Qualifying Round E - also staying in the hunt for the semi-finals.

Spain Comeback Too Much For Israel

Ignacio Llovet Camp poured in 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Spain came back from a 17-point deficit for an 87-65 victory over Israel to clinch second place in Group A at the U18 European Championship Men.

Jorge Santana drained five three-pointers in scoring 19 points while Daniel Perez Otero added 10 points for Alejandro Martinez's team, which finished at 2-1 in the group.
