Chavdar Kostov continued his offensive assault in the UMCOR U18 European Championship Men by scoring 33 points in Bulgaria’s 92-81 overtime win over Italy.
The 196-cm guard was 9-of-21 from the field and a perfect 11-of-11 from the free-throw line.
Two of those free throws tied the game at 76 with two seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime.

He scored six points in the extra session as Bulgaria outscored Italy 16-5 to secure the win and their place in the quarter-final round.
Kostov registered more than 30 points in a game for the second consecutive day and is currently leading the competition in scoring with 30.2 a contest.
For the third straight game, Pietro Aradori led Italy in scoring, this time coming up with 20.
Italy also advances to the quarter-final round after finishing the preliminary stage with a 2-1 record.
Israel 79, Germany 76
Omri Casspi scored 33 points and Gal Mekel added 23 as Israel defeated Germany 79-76 in the other Group C contest.
Both countries failed to advance to the qualifying round.
