Halperin has been one of the most frequent travellers of late in Israeli basketball. One of the biggest talents Israel basketball has ever seen, Halperin helped lead Maccabi to the Final Four of the Euroleague in 2008 and was named to the second All-Euroleague team. He followed that with three consecutive seasons with Olympiacos (two in a back-up role) and from there continued to Russia with Spartak St. Petersburg and last season in Germany with the up-and-coming Bayern Munich. Approaching the age of 30, Halperin has found his comfort zone. He won titles in three different leagues and averaged points in double figures in the last three EuroBaskets. His presence is crucial for the Israeli team in Slovenia as well. Halperin's breakthrough season to the European scene was in Slovenia when Maccabi loaned him to Olimpija Ljubljana in 2005-06. During his time there, he won three titles.
