Irish Head Coach Gerry Fitpatrick has finalised his team's preparations for the upcoming European Championships.
The men will play a four nations friendly tournament in Cork and Dublin. The four teams involved are Turkey, Denmark, England and hosts Ireland. They play a series of games in Cork, Neptune Stadium Thurs Sept 2nd & Fri 3rd. They then move on to Dublin to finish series off in ESB Basketball Arena Sat Sept 4th.
In the European Championship, the Ireland Senior Men’s play a series of three games in 2004 - one home, two away. They travel to play Malta Sept 11th, then return to Dublin to host Switzerland Sept 15th in the ESB Basketball Arena, Dublin at 19:30. T
his will be the first time we get a chance to see the men play at home for over a year, and with two former NBA players in Pat Burke and Marty Conlon these games will generate a huge amount of interest among Irish fans.
Immediately after this game Ireland travel onto Bratislava to play Slovakia in the Slovak Republic on Sept 18th
