Portugal were demolished in front of their own fans by Sweden in midweek but they made amends in EuroBasket Women Division B with a 65-64 Group B win in Estonia.
Paula Muxiri's 18 points and nine rebounds led the Portuguese, who won despite turning the ball over 22 times.
Muxiri's two biggest points came with 19 seconds left when she sank a pair of free throws for the one-point lead.
Viive-Kai Rebane tried to put Estonia back in front but her jump shot with five seconds to go was off target and Portugal rebounded.
With Sweden idle, FYR Macedonia improved to 2-0 and took over first place with a 67-53 triumph at Luxembourg.
In Group A, Jelena Skerovic had 16 points as Montenegro defeated Switzerland 60-50 and the Netherlands got 10 points and 14 rebounds from Naomi Halman in an 81-70 victory over Iceland.
The Montenegrins and Dutch top the pool at 2-0.
In the other game, Ireland, under new coach Mark Scannell, won at home over Slovenia 67-59.
Michelle Aspell finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Irish.
