Defending champions Spain survived a late comeback from the Czech Republic to win 72-62 and clinch top spot in Group A at the the U18 European Championship for Women.

Having taken a 64-47 lead going into the last quarter, the Spaniards allowed their opponents to go on a 15-2 run and close to within four points with less than two minutes remaining.
