Defending champions Spain survived a late comeback from the Czech Republic to win 72-62 and clinch top spot in Group A at the the U18 European Championship for Women.
Having taken a 64-47 lead going into the last quarter, the Spaniards allowed their
opponents to go on a 15-2 run and close to within four points with less than two minutes remaining.

Georgina Bahi ended Spain's four minute drought with a layup before Laura Nicholls' jump shot sealed the win with 34 seconds remaining.
Bahi had a game-high 15 points while two other Spanish players finished in double figures.
Spain was able to overcome the loss off forward Tamara Abalde to a second-quarter ankle injury.
They still went to the break with a 45-34 half-time lead with Alba Torrens scoring 10 of her points in the first half.
Despite defeat, the Czechs will join Spain in the qualifying round having finished second in the group.
In the other game, the Slovak Republic won 65-45 over Hungary to advance to the next phase of the competition.
Nikola Kovalova led the winners with 16 points while teammate Lucia Krc Turbova added 13 points and hauled down 11 rebounds.
The Hungarians, who trailed 32-19 at half-time, were outrebounded 52-38.
Both teams were a mere one of 15 (6.6%) from three-point range.
