Sweden Grab Fifth From Russia

Cleopatra Forsman B. Goga collected 10 points, nine rebounds, five assists and five steals as Sweden captured a best-ever fifth-place showing at the Termosteps U16 European Championship Women by beating Russia 60-55.

Amanda Zahui Bazoukou had 16 points and 13 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the U16 event.

Russia Subs Sink Hungary

Anastasiya Shilova scored 12 points and fellow bench player Veronika Dorosheva added 10 as Russia's reserves guided Russia to a 63-44 victory over Hungary in the games for 5th-8th Place at the Termosteps U16 European Championship Women.

The Russian bench players out-scored the first five 34-29 with Alexandra Tarasova the only starter with 10 points or more.

Hungary See Off Poland

Hungary finished off their Qualfiying Round of the Termosteps U16 European Championship Women with a 70-54 victory over Poland, securing clearance for 2006 finalists Czech Republic into the semi-finals.

Krisztina Raksanyi had 16 points to improve Hungary's record to 3-2 in Group E.
