Is it a bird? Yes! Michalis Pelekanos (his surname means Pelican) is a special kind of person. Grew up in a poor territory of Athens, and when he got his first money as a pro basketball player, he gave it to his mother, because he didn’t know what to do with it! Extremely good guy outside the court, turns into a Pelican, an… eagle in the court. Flies, sorry… jumps, like a bird as he likes to penetrate and then dunk. Learned how to play basketball in Peristeri, like Papamakarios and Koronios in the past, and last season transferred to AEK, when Peristeri due to economical problems went down to A2. Is his second call at the national team (has played only 3 games before) and without Alvertis in the team, is in his hands to grab the opportunity.
