Career: Iraklis Pyrgou (Greece-4th Div.1998-2001), PAOK Thessalonikis (Greece-HEBA A1,).
The…alter ego of Vassiliadis in PAOK. The two “Vas” of the Thessaloniki eagles, do almost everything together. Together in the Greek U18 team who took the bronze medal at the World Championship of 2003, together in PAOK, together had the first call for the men’s national team. Vassilopoulos, compared to Vasiliadis, is not such a good shooter, but is a greater fighter. Most of the coaches in Greece would like to have him in their team as he is a team player who puts his ego to the side. When he sleeps, he dreams of his idol, not Kevin Garnett to whom he’d like to be like, but Monica Belucci, the “most beautiful woman on earth”. So, don’t tell him that she’s ugly, because you’ll pay the price. Vassilopoulos was one of the top transfer “hits” in Greece last summer. |
