Antonios Fotsis

Career: Ilisiakos (Greece-A2, 1994-97), Panathinaikos (Greece-ESAKE, 1997-2001), Memphis Grizzlies (NBA, 2001-02), Panathinaikos (Greece-ESAKE, 2002-03), Real Madrid (Spain-ACB, 2003-05), Dynamo Moscow (Russia-Superleague, 2005-07). Selected in the second round of the 2001 NBA draft (#48) by the Memphis Grizzlies

After coming back to Europe in 2003 following a season spent languishing on the Grizzlies' bench, Fotsis’ career was in limbo. There was no special interest from any Greek team, so he went to Real Madrid and won the Liga ACB title in 2005. But he wasn’t satisfied.  When an offer from Dynamo came in he made the move without hesitation finding there his "brother-friend", Papadopoulos. Together, they led Dynamo to a ULEB Cup and then to the Euroleague quarterfinals last season. Fotsis made history in a game against Aris by grabbing 23 rebounds. With the National Team, he is the key player on defense, thanks to his long arms and jumping ability. The Athens native has won five Greek championships with Panathinaikos.
