A late addition to the roster due to the departure of team-mate Sofoklis Schortsanitis from preparation camp, Dimitrios Mavroeidis has had limited time to impress and prove he is worth an opportunity at the elite level. Having previously played for his country at both youth level and the Mediterranean Games, he is yet to step out with the senior team but key absences could mean he forces his way onto the bench. Certainly the center comes into the summer full of confidence having completed a rock solid season in the ACB, helping Bilbao to a surprise run to the Championship Final. He also has Euroleague and EuroCup experience from his time playing in his homeland with Peristeri, Panionios and Marousi, and offers the National Team a good rebounding presence, a tireless amount of work off the ball and some reliable defence.
