Giorgos Printezis is a shining example of the vital importance that an athlete's state of mind can have on their career. In the summer of 2009 he left Olympiacos, a club he belonged to since his teenage years, to join Unicaja Malaga as the most promising of the up-and-coming Greek players at the time. He never felt comfortable though in Spain and his performance levels dipped dramatically. Printezis returned to his parent club two years later, started regaining confidence and less than nine months after the lowest point in his career, he scored the game-winner that gave the Piraeus team the first of their back-to-back Euroleague titles. He made a triumphant return to the national team in the pre-Olympic tournament of 2012 before following it up with another excellent season with Olympiacos. His unique shooting style, which is very difficult to defend, paired with his mobility, convert him into a valuable offensive weapon.
