PLAYER HISTORY
Panagiotis Vasilopoulos

Career: Iraklis Pyrgou (Greece-4th Division, 1998-2001), PAOK (Greece-ESAKE, 2001-05), Olympiakos (Greece-ESAKE, 2005-07).

Born in Greece's south peninsula Peloponnesus, the basketball future of Vasilopoulos would lie many kilometres north in Thessaloniki. A member of the “fabulous-three” at PAOK along with Vasileiadis and Mavrokefalidis, Vassilopoulos built a name for himself with the U21 National Team. The 23-year-old followed the same path as his teammates leaving PAOK for Olympiakos last season, where he showed the depth of his talent. Although he is over two metres, he can guard smaller players on defense, rebounds well, blocks shots and, if needed, can score.

  • Ranks #11 in Blocked Shots (1.3)
