Dexia Mons-Hainaut claimed a resounding victory over Cedevita Zagreb on the last night of Group D action in the EuroChallenge.
Arik Shivek's team won 85-64 but finished third behind Proteas EKA AEL.
Proteas EKA AEL blew out Dexia Mons-Hainaut 86-68 on Tuesday to move closer to a spot in the Last 16 of the EuroChallenge.
The victory avenged an 11-point defeat to Dexia earlier in the competition and also gave the Cypriot club, participants in the last two Final Fours, a 3-2 record in Group D while dropping the Belgian outfit to 2-3.
It was fitting at the start of the season at Dexia Mons-Hainaut that when Ben Ebong was introduced to the crowd at the club's opening ceremonies, he ran onto the floor clasping a white duck in both hands.
Ebong, who had helped a magician make that very duck disappear earlier in the night, wouldn't have known it at the time but he and his teammates were going to lay a few eggs in the coming weeks through not much fault of their own.
Ben Ebong and Brandon Costner had 20 points each as Dexia Mons-Hainaut levelled their record in Group D of the EuroChallenge with an 84-67 win over Elan Chalon.
Dexia let one big early lead evaporate as the visitors tied the game on Marcellus Sommerville's three-pointer midway through the third quarter.
