Dexia Mons-Hainaut clinched top spot in EuroChallenge Group F with a 99-69 rout of last-placed KK Zagreb Croatia Osiguranje on Tuesday night. Kelvin Torbert poured in 21 points to lead five Dexia players who scored in double figures, while Caleb Green collected 11 rebounds and nine points for the victors. Adam Hall had 14 points, Nate Reinking 12, James Potter 11 and Elton Nesbitt 10. Dexia built up a double-digit lead early in the second quarter and although Zagreb briefly rallied, cutting the lead to seven, 47-40, shortly before half-time, Dexia moved back through the gears and were ahead 62-44 when Torbert made a lay-up three minutes into the third quarter. Dexia made 22 of 34 shots (65%) from two-point range and 15 of 32 (47%) from three-point range in the win. Andrej Stimac led Zagreb with 13 points while Filip Basljan added 12 and Ante Tomic 10. |
