Once labelled as the next big thing after Dirk Nowitzki, Robin Benzing saw his rise halted last season with FC Bayern. Benzing has seen his numbers drop in nearly all statistical categories from minutes and points to shooting percentages. The fact that he was used less and less on the perimeter and more as a power forward did not make his life easier. He often struggles on defence against quicker players on the wing and is regularly outmuscled by power forwards in the paint. Given Germany's recent injury woes at power forward, it will be difficult to look past Benzing. He still has great offensive potential, with a sweet shooting touch and a more than solid step-back jumper from post-up situations and is also not afraid to take the big shots. At club level, he is seeking a fresh start with Zaragoza in the Spanish Liga Endesa next year.
