Half-Court Press: Jan Wimberg

Jan Wimberg (Germany)
Not afraid the take the big shots: Jan Wimberg

Averaging 14.4 points a night at the Dadu U16 European Championship Men, scoring points is something that Germany's Jan Wimberg is well familiarised with, as he alludes to in FIBA Europe's latest half-court press. What's your first basketball memory?
Jan Wimberg: It was my second game in the German U12 tournament. I could not really play but I was just turning to the hoop and shooting bank shots. I scored 42 points and our whole team scored 47. In my head it was clicking that I need to play basketball. Who is the most mature of your teammates and who is the most... childish?
Kevin Casper. He is always singing and having fun and he is a very funny person. I don't think we have a serious player. Playing on the senior national team one day and winning a medal at a future EuroBasket means...
That's the dream. There's only 2 seconds left on the shot-clock, do you pass the ball or shoot?
Shoot. Definitely. Who is the best European player you've seen?
Dirk Nowitzki Do you know how to cook and what would you cook for your coach if he ate
dinner at your house?

I am not the best cook but I think I would make some eggs for breakfast. That is the only thing I can cook...or pizza...a pre-made one.
