The Czech Republic, Greece and Germany each clinched their second win in as many days at the U20 European Championship for Women Division B.

The Czechs, who are hosting the event in Klatovy, followed up their 66-60 win over Belgium with a 77-60 drubbing of Israel on Friday.

Karolina Elhotova led the way with 16 points for the Czechs, while Barbora Kasparkova weighed in with 15 along with 11 rebounds.

The Czechs hit back from a 34-32 deficit at half-time to lead 53-44 by the end of the third quarter.

May Dayan's lay-up for Israel closed the gap to 57-52 two minutes into the fourth quarter but Tereza Matulkova replied with a shot from the arc to stretch the lead to eight and then Kaspárková took the advantage to 10 after nailing a jump shot.

Dominika Pohunkova kept the pressure on, burying another three-ball for a 13-point lead.

The Czechs ended up scoring 15 unanswered points to go on top, 70-55, and they never turned back.

On Saturday, the Czechs will go for a third straight victory against Hungary.

Spanou leads Greece Past Romania

Greece routed Romania 67-35 with Artemis Spanou scoring 11 points and pulling down 13 boards.

Spanou has already played for Greece's senior side at the 2010 World Championship and EuroBasket Women 2011.

She is averaging 11.5 points and 13 rebounds two games into the event.

Belgium bounced back from their defeat to the Czechs by rolling to a 75-51 victory over Bulgaria.

Camille Lebrun finished with 15 points for the Belgians, who went in front to stay with a 9-0 run late in the third quarter for a 50-41 advantage.

The Germans followed up their 95-66 blowout of Romania with a 91-52 victory over Switzerland.

Finja Schaake, the 20-year-old power forward/center, had 21 points for the Germans.

Germany had a vice-like grip on proceedings after going on a 12-0 run over the last 2:39 of the first quarter for a 28-14 lead.

The Germans out-rebounded the Swiss 40-22, but coach Harald Janson will be hoping his players improve on their free-throw shooting after they converted just 10 of 20 at the stripe.
