Classification Round-Up: Spain, Russia To Battle For 5th

Spain will face Russia in Sunday's 5th-6th place game at the U18 European Championship Men 2009 in Metz, France.

The Spaniards beat Italy 84-72 thanks to some balanced scoring which saw five players score in double-digits.

Greece, Ukraine Survive Relegation Battle

Greece beat Israel 80-54 to finish 3-0 in Group G of the Classification Round at the U18 European Championship Men 2009 in Metz France.

The result saw Greece hold on to their Division A status while the loss for Israel - combined with Ukraine's 79-70 win over the Czech Republic - saw them fall to 1-2 only good enough for third place and more importantly relegate them to Division B.

France Ride Fournier Performance To Beat Germany

France pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat 71-59 in the Qualifying Round at the U18 European Championship Men 2009 in Metz, France.

The win meant that France improved to 3-2 to finish second in Group E and will face Russia in the quarter-final on Friday. With the defeat, Germany missed out on reaching the last eight.
