Germany Score Russian Scalp

In the first game of the day in Group F Germany overcame Russia 83-77.

Robin Benzing scored well for Germany, totalling 23 points while hitting all four of his two point field goals in the first quarter to allow his team to take an early lead.

Serbians Dominate Germany

Serbia saw out a routine victory over Germany, running up another big score in a 107-59 win and keeping their unbeaten run intact.

In a game that was really a non-contest, coach Dejan Mijatovic gave minutes to all his players with five of them getting double figures.

Spain Too Much For Germans
Having had their party spoiled by Serbia in the preliminary round Spain got back to winning big taking an 82-56 score against a weak looking German side.

Ricky Rubio scored well again, taking 20 points, but had more support from his teammates tonight with Sergio De La Fuente scoring 15 points and big Pablo Aguilar getting a double-double of 16 points and 11 boards.

Croatia Score First Win, Spot In Next Round

An outstanding final game in Group D saw Croatia record an 88-73 win over Germany for a place in the next round.

A large crowd gathered in the arena long before Spain’s game with Serbia to cheer on the Croatian side for the second day in a row.
