Heiko Schaffartzik is a player who has made a real impact for the German National Team over the last two summers. Having only really arrived on the International stage two years ago during EuroBasket 2009 when Coach Bauermann handed him some serious court time, Schaffartzik finished as the team's top scorer in the tournament. His numbers dropped off slightly last summer at the FIBA World Championship, but he is still key to Germany's chances. He is aggressive in everything he does at both ends of the floor, and most importantly, he also provides some rare creativity in an otherwise functional team.
