Mindaugas KUZMINSKAS - EuroBasket 2013 Profile

Team 2012-13: Zalgiris Kaunas (Lithuania-LKL)
Career: Sakalai Vilnius (Lithuania-LKL, 2006-07); SSK Perlas Vilnius (Lithuania-NKL, 2007-08); Siauliai (Lithuania-LKL, 2008-10); Zalgiris Kaunas (Lithuania-LKL, 2010-13)

After two sub-par seasons with Zalgiris Kaunas, people had started to doubt the talent of Mindaugas Kuzminskas, but the lanky and always-smiling forward proved the doubters wrong with a storming 2012-13 season. Having led the Kaunas team to the LKL title, the 23-year-old from Vilnius received the Finals MVP award, averaging 15 points and seven boards in the series against Lietuvos Rytas, immediately becoming a marquee name in the European transfer market. However, it did not take long for Kuzminskas to make up his mind, as he chose to follow Zalgiris boss Joan Plaza and sign a contract with Unicaja Malaga. A spectacular season earned the player another call-up to the national team's training camp, but, unlike previous times, this time round the odds' are in Kuzminskas' favour to make the final cut.
