BC Siauliai avenged their humiliating defeat to Nancy in week two of the EuroCup with a 100-84 triumph over the French side on Tuesday to move closer to the next phase of the competition.
Siauliai were mauled 104-68 in their first meeting, but now that the Lithuanians have won the second game between the two sides, they have leapfrogged Nancy into second place in Group C with three wins and just two defeats.
The top two sides in each of the groups after the opening stage will advance to Round II.
Group C leaders Dexia Mons-Hainaut, who are 3-1, can seal their place in the next round with a win over Vertical Vision Cantu (1-3) on Wednesday.
Vaidas Pauliukenas was Siauliai's top player again, pouring in 27 points on 10 of 14 shooting on Tuesday, including four of five from behind the arc.
He had 20 points last week in a defeat at Dexia.
Siauliai started well against Nancy and built an 18-10 lead with four minutes and 24 seconds left in the first quarter.
They took a vice-like grip on the contest in a five-minute spell which began at end of the opening period, stretching a 21-17 advantage to 36-21.
Nancy never got closer than 11 the rest of the way.
Siauliai travel to Italy next week in their final Group C game to face Cantu, while Nancy will visit Dexia in Belgium.
