Despite only being 26 years old, Dmitry Khvostov could easily be considered a Russian national team veteran since EuroBasket 2015 will be his 5th consecutive big tournament on the international stage. The point guard however hasn't received solid minutes in the Russia jersey recently. But this is expected to change when Evgeny Pashutin's men come to France. Khvostov had a relatively impressive season with Nizhny Novgorod, making the Top 16 stage during their Euroleague debut. Khvostov was one of the key figures on the team, averaging 6.4 points and almost 4 assists, making some big shots in the process. He also helped Nizhny Novgorod to reach the VTB League semi-finals. Khvostov is famous for his quickness and ability to get to the rim and dish it to his partner on the perimeter.
