BK Ventspils trailed but went on a game-changing run that bridged the third and fourth quarters and beat Atomerömü SE.
In the EuroChallenge Group D game, Ventspils won 69-56 to leave both sides with 1-1 records.
Jahmar Young finished with a game-high 23 points for the Latvian club while for the losing side, Donald Cole scored 19.
The situation didn't look good for Ventspils three minutes into the second half as they stared at a 40-34 deficit.
Steven Gray and Janis Strelnieks buried jump shots to close the gap to two and after the latter made one of two free-throws, Young hit four consecutive jumpers to give the hosts a 47-40 advantage at the end of the third quarter.
Gray capped the 15-0 run with another jump shot at the start of the fourth quarter.
Five unanswered points by Cole, the last three at the charity stripe, brought the visitors to within 52-50 but Young steadied the home side's nerves with a three-ball and they pulled away for a 13-point victory.
Atomerömü SE hurt their cause with 19 turnovers.
Young tormented them on defense as well because he had six of Ventspils' 10 steals.
