It has been a roller-coaster journey with the senior national team for the talented Amant. She stepped out at the FIBA World Championship during 2010 and performed well, suggesting she could be a regular fixture due to her great rebounding skills and physical presence in the low post. Having been named as the French Young Player of the Year earlier in her career, it seemed like her destiny to cement her place in the rotation at the senior level. But, amidst fierce competition, she was edged out of reckoning due to a stacked French frontcourt. She was not helped by limited opportunities with Bourges during 2011-12, which perhaps cost her the chance of an Olympic place, but is now back to her vibrant best at Nantes Reze, where she has excelled both domestically and in EuroCup Women.
