France coach Alain Weisz admits he is feeling confident ahead of the European Championships in Sweden.
France have been in impressive form during the build up to the tournament, stumbling only against Sweden in a warm-up game on Monday.
Weisz told L'Equipe: "I don't think that we play better basketball than the other teams but as far as motivation and enthusiasm are concerned they are definitely there.''
The coach believes star player Jerome Moiso is vital to his side's chances although there have been doubts over his fitness in recent weeks.
"The team we have now is exactly the one I wanted ahead of the Euro,'' said Weisz.
"There may be some uncertainties regarding Jerome who is still in search of the right pace. When he was good the team was good and vice versa. I think he will be the key to our success.''
Moiso stands 6ft 10in (205 cm) and has three years of NBA experience under his belt after a collegiate career at the famed UCLA. He has yet to emerge as a big player in America but there is little doubt that he can be a star this summer.
France embark on their Euro quest against Bosnia on Friday night before taking on Italy and Slovenia on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
