France coach Alain Weisz has delayed naming his final 12-man European Championships squad until August 24.

Weisz had been expected to finalise his Eurobasket squad on Monday morning but instead he decided to trim his roster by cutting loose Vincent Masingue and Aymeric Jeanneau.

France were beaten 110-100 in overtime by Lithuania on Sunday in the Strasbourg tournament - their first setback in 10 games.

Les Bleus, who had won their two previous games in Strasbourg against Israel (94-69) and Italy (90-85), expect to announce their final squad after the Braunschweig tournament in Germany.

Among the 13 men still in the group are Tony Parker, Moustapha Sonko, Tariq Abdul Wahad, Boris Diaw-Riffiod, Alain Digbeu, Makan Dioumassi, Laurent Foirest, Karim Souchu, Cyril Julian, Jerome Moiso, Florent Pietrus, Ronny Turiaf and Thierry Rupert.

As for the game, Lithuania trailed by 17 points at half-time but shaved the deficit to just three points by the end of the third quarter.

The Baltic giants then led in the final quarter before France hit back to level the scores at 86-86 and force overtime.

The 6,000 spectators then watched Lithuania turn on the style and outscore their hosts 24-14.

Parker, the San Antonio Spurs point guard, scored 20 points to lead the French while Digbeu poured in 18.

Guard Arvydas Macijauskas paced Lithuania with a game-high 34 points.
