France Advance After Germany Win

France crushed Germany 99-66 to clinch a place in the next phase of the OSTCHEM U20 European Championship on Sunday night.

With three sides in Group C finishing with 2-1 records, it came down to  points difference with the French and Turkey advancing.

Philippe Ory's men's place never looked in doubt after they recovered from a first quarter in which they struggled to find their range.

After trailing 26-14 at the first interval, they hit back in spectacular fashion, taking the next three 37-14, 25-17 and 23-9.

Souarata Cisse led the romp with 29 points although Michael Mokongo played his part with 19.
Nikita Khartchenkov top scored for Germany with 17.
