France Prevails After Lithuanian Collapse

Lithuania sensationally blew a 17-point fourth-quarter lead as Sourata Cisse scored 16 of his 25 points in the final nine minutes to give France a 79-77 victory at the OSTCHEM U-20 European Championship.

Lithuania's Giedrius Kurtinaitis could have forced overtime but he missed two of his three free throws with one second remaining to give France the win in their final quarter-final Group E game.

Serbia & Montenegro Hold On Against France

Serbia & Montenegro turned on the defensive clamps to beat France 60 58 in the quarter-final round and remain undefeated at the Ostchem U 20 European Championships.

Ivan Paunic made just one of two free throws with nine seconds left but France's Benoit Gillet missed a game-winning three-pointer attempt at the buzzer.

Slovenia got their Ostchem U20 European Championship quarter-final round campaign off to a great start in Izmir on Tuesday with a 67-65 win against France.

In an extremely tight-fought match, France had two opportunities to win in the final 3 seconds, but came up short on both shot attempts.

France Advance After Germany Win

France crushed Germany 99-66 to clinch a place in the next phase of the OSTCHEM U20 European Championship on Sunday night.

With three sides in Group C finishing with 2-1 records, it came down to  points difference with the French and Turkey advancing.
