France beat Latvia 70-60 on Wednesday to maintain their unbeaten run at the U20 European Championship for Women.

Nwal-Endene Miyem scored 18 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for France.

She was eight of 12 (66.6%) from the floor.

Les Bleues led 55-40 with 11 minutes remaining but they were made to sweat as Latvia never gave up hope.

Latvia went on a 9-0 surge to reduce the deficit 55-49 with six minutes left. However, two consecutive three pointers from France proved a hammer blow for Maija Kublina's side.

Latvia struggled shooting the ball from long range, they were a mere two of 11 (18%) from outside the perimeter while their opponents were 10 of 20(50%) from the arc.

Karline Nimane led Latvia in scoring with 18 points.
