France Cruise Against Czechs



Hugo Invernizzi had 12 points and Boris Dallo scored 11 as France improved to 2-0 in Group C of the U18 European Championship with a comfortable 71-48 victory over Czech Republic.

France out-rebounded the Czechs 50-33 including 22 offensive rebounds with Kevin Dinal leading the way with 11 total rebounds.

Petr Herman was the only player in double figures with 11 points for Czech Republic, who dropped to 0-2.

The French used an 11-2 run early to take an 18-9 lead and it was 22-10 after one quarter.

The Czechs went on an 11-0 spurt to pull within 26-23 before France pushed the gap back up to 11 and lead 36-27 at the break.

France did not allow the Czechs closer than 12 in the third period and led by as many as 16 with the score 53-37 after three quarters.

France increased the advantage to 21 in the fourth and coasted the rest of the way.
