After tasting their first defeat in the U16 European Championship Women, France bounced back and defeated the Netherlands, 70-44, in Qualifying Round Group F.
The French showed early on what they are coming to and imposed a very quick and intense game.
Without their main frontcourt player, Emese Hof, the Netherlands lost some fighting power and needed Janis Ndiba to do all the work under the basket, finishing the game with four points and 11 rebounds.
As the French cruised, led by Lisa Berkani, who finished with 12 points, the game seemed to be decided.
But the Dutch team fought to recover during the third quarter and obliged Les Bleus to refocus and impose their domination all the way.
The turnovers committed by the Dutch team, 17-33, put them definitely out of the game.
Marie Milapie, with 14 points and seven rebounds, clinched a great performance, as Katia Clanet showed impressive post moves, pouring in 10 points.
France have secured their place in the Quarter-Finals and will play Italy on Wednesday in their last Group F match-up.
