French Name U16 Squad For German Series

A France under-16 women's team will travel to Jena this weekend and then take on Germany in three friendly games.

The French, who are led by coach Jérôme Fournier, will have Lisa Bacconnier as one of their 12 players.

The 1.66m guard celebrated Coupe de France Cadets glory at the weekend after helping Bourges defeat Mondeville 53-49.

Germany are holding a training camp for their team this week.

At the U16 European Championship for Women Division A this summer in Greece, France will take on Italy, Croatia and Serbia in Group B.

Germany will competed at the U16 European Championship for Women Division B in the FYR of Macedonia.

The three friendly games will be played on May 26, 28th and 29th.

French squad: Lisa Bacconnier, Marième Badiane, Fleur Devillers, Clarince Djaldi Tabdi, Morgane Fristot, Aby Gaye, Laëtitia Guapo, Axelle Koundouno, Pauline Lithard, Clémentine Morateur, Marième Niasse and Céline Pfister.

Germany's 14-player squad for this weekend: Carla Bellscheidt, Levke Brodersen, Keisha Carthäuser, Pia Dietrich, Elisabeth Dzirma, Marie Gülich, Alina Hartmann, Teresa Kucera, Isabell Meinhart, Mary Ann Mihaly, Katharina Müller, Noémie Rouault, Hannah Siegfried and Fanny Szittya.

On standby for Germany: Katharina Borowek, Melina Knopp, Joana Meyer, Larua Rebac and Mascha Treblin.
