"He-Man's" style of play captures the essence of team Finland; this silent but occasionally menacing true warrior dives after every loose ball, grabs rebounds and forces steals with his cunning and ultra-long, "kirilenkoan" arms and hands. While Muurinen has celebrated winning the Finnish championship three times and even showcased his skills in the top leagues of Italy and Germany, he has been an X-factor with Team Finland's successful rise to the European elite. In Germany, before EuroBasket 2011, Muurinen went into the play-off semi-finals and although his minutes decreased in the knock-out stages, he was a big part of the surprise success of Frankfurt, especially thanks to his shooting accuracy. He might play five minutes or 15 minutes and completely rewrite the script of the game with his hustle blocks, dunks and help-side defence.
