Tuukka Kotti - EuroBasket 2013 Profile

Team 2012-13: Vanoli Cremona (Italy-Lega)
Career: Forssan Koripojat (Finland-Korisliiga, 1997-99); Salon Vilpas (Finland-Korisliiga, 2000-01); Providence (USA-NCAA, 2001-05); Castelletto Ticino (Italy-LegaDue 2005-07); Solsonica Rieti (Italy-Lega, 2007-08); Brest (France-ProB 2008-09); Espoon Honka (Finland-Korisliiga, 2009-10); BC Ferrara (Italy-LegaDue, 2010-11); Aget Imola (Italy-LegaDue, 2011-12); Vanoli Cremona (Italy-Lega, 2012-13)

A peculiar career route if there ever was one, Tuukka Kotti began his national team duties in 2000 as a tall, streaky, shooting point guard, but his four years with Providence Friars of the NCAA turned him into a strong, athletic center of the new millennium. Kotti won the Finnish League MVP award in 2010 and has climbed all the way to the Italian Serie A, finishing with a strong 2012/13 campaign with Vanoli Cremona. Meanwhile, Kotti has been the cornerstone of the Finland Wolf Pack's team defence, going head-to-head successfully and earning the respect of some of the premiere big men in Europe such as Nikola Pekovic, Pero Antic and Marcin Gortat. While he's a defensive force to be reckoned with, he can also finish effectively around the basket with back-to-basket moves and tip-ins.
