Italy's Easy Win over Finland Takes Them to the European Championships

To place in the championships Italy needed a win over Finland. The 'Azzuri' did more than 'just win'.

Finland managed to land 15 points in the first five minutes with the tense Italians. It was then that coach Gaetano Gebbia called a time-out which proved critical to the game. The new strategy set the stage for a series of 16:3 by the Italians, after which the Fins were unable to gain victory.

Again Cisse, again France Triumphs

As expected of the match between France and Finland, Finland departs the fight for the European Championships, while France becomes the most solid candidate for first place in group C.

Italy Open Group C with Victory

The qualification tournament for the FIBA U18 European Championship (group C) opened with fireworks in the way of beautiful moves, major excitement and unbelievable twists and turns. After three matches today, looking forward to Friday with wins are Italy, Latvia and Croatia.
